-
Will ozone help my allergies and asthma?Yes, ozone therapy can potentially help with allergies and asthma. Ozone therapy is a non-invasive therapy that can help you to breathe easier. It works by opening up your airways and improving lung function, reducing inflammation and irritation in the lungs. Ozone reduces histamine production and increases blood circulation helping to get more oxygen into your bloodstream.
-

What is Floatation therapy?Floatation therapy is a sensory deprivation practice that involves “floating” in a water filled sensory deprivation tank, also called a floatation or isolation tank. The tank is filled with warm water saturated with Epsom salts which gives the water buoyancy allowing you to float.
-
What is a floatation tank?A float tank is a capsule designed to cut out outside stimuli like fluctuations in sound, light and temperature.
-
What do I need to do before my session and what must I bring? Before your session try to avoid stimulants at least 4 to 6 hours before your appointment as they can interfere with your relaxation and sensory deprivation. Please have a light snack and drink water. You will need to bring your swimming costume with you. Towels and shower facilities are available for you to use.
-
What happens during the appointment? It is normal to go through an adjustment phase at the start of your session and you may experience heightened awareness of your breathing and heart rate. Make use of the neck/head support device provided to find a comfortable position in the water allowing the tension to release from your muscles. Inside the floatation tank, your central nervous system gets a break from processing external stimuli and your body will shift into a state known as Parasympathetic response. In this state, healing happens at an accelerated rate, blood pressure and heart rate drops and your immune system is boosted.
-
What happens after my session? When you are finished with your session you will climb out of the tank and use the private shower to wash the Epsom salts off your body and out of your hair.
-
What are the benefits of floatation therapy?Pain relief – it helps the body to recover from injury and pain-related illnesses and to rebound from vigorous exercise Stress relief – it reduces stress and anxiety by creating a deeply relaxing environment helping you to move out of a “fight or flight” state into a “rest and recover” state. Improved sleep – it improves sleep due to the magnesium absorbed through the skin and the reduction of pain and stress, this aids sleep recovery.
-
Why do you use Epsom salts and are they safe?Epsom salts are known as magnesium sulphate and are used for many reasons: Buoyancy – the high concentration of Epsom salts in the warm water allows you to float effortlessly Health benefits – Epsom salts have medicinal properties. Magnesium helps to regulate the activity of more than 325 enzymes and performs a vital role in bodily functions from muscle control and electrical impulses to energy production and elimination of harmful toxins. Magnesium absorption – magnesium is absorbed through the skin so floating is a good way to get magnesium saturation. This is beneficial as modern diets contain less magnesium than our bodies need. As for safety, the body naturally optimizes magnesium levels, so extended exposure does not pose any risks.
-
Who should not float?Individuals who are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs should not undergo floatation therapy. People who have a contagious illness or disease should not do floatation therapy If you are incontinent, it is best to avoid floatation therapy If you have open wounds, eczema or a new tattoo the salt will irritate these areas. Floatation therapy may not be appropriate for those with severe mental health conditions such as uncontrolled epilepsy, seizures or severe psychological disorders like schizophrenia. Pregnancy – floatation is generally safe for pregnant woman, but it is best to consult with your doctor first.

What is MHBOT?Mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing concentrated oxygen in a pressurized chamber.
-
What does MHBOT do?MHBOT is a non-invasive treatment that enhances the body’s natural healing process by increasing the amount of oxygen in the blood. This oxygen rich blood is potentially utilized for enhancing tissue repair and regeneration while still providing its potent anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial effects. The increased oxygen saturation leads to quicker cellular growth and repair.
-
How does MHBOT work? You enter the soft chamber and lie down on a comfortable mattress, placing an oxygen mask over your mouth and nose. The chamber is closed with 2 heavy-duty zips. The chamber is then pressurized to 1.4 ATA which allows extra oxygen to be absorbed and transferred from the lungs into the blood causing a greater saturation of blood oxygen levels in the body.
-
What conditions does MHBOT treat?MHBOT has been used to treat several conditions such as sports injuries, head and brain injuries, dermatological conditions, sports recovery, allergies, longevity and wellness.
-
What must I wear?Loose fitting comfortable clothing is best. No flammable or sharp objects, belts or shoes are permitted in the chamber.
-
How long is the treatment?Your appointment will take 75 minutes as your stats are recorded prior to and after your treatment. You will spend 60 minutes in the chamber. Compression takes from 10 to 15 minutes, you spend 35 to 40 minutes at 1.4ATA, and decompression takes 10 minutes.
-
What does the treatment feel like? The sensations you feel are similar to taking off and landing in an airplane. Slight pressure is felt in the ears, and it is important to equalize by swallowing hard, sucking a sweet or making chewing motions with your mouth.
-
What can I take into the chamber with me?You can take your cell phone, tablet or laptop into the chamber with you.
-
Are there any adverse side effects?MHBOT is generally considered safe, but it may have some side effects. These can include ear or sinus pain due to the pressure changes, ear popping or fluid in the middle ear due to the pressure changes. Temporary near-sightedness due to the lens of the eye changing shape because of the increased pressure but will revert back to normal. Some people may feel weakness or fatigue immediately after treatment and should take it easy until the next day. The enclosed chamber may trigger anxiety and a feeling of claustrophobia.
-
Can I get oxidative stress from MHBOT?MHBOT uses lower concentrations and pressure than traditional HBOT to deliver oxygen to the tissues while checking the development of free radicals. MHBOT has been found to increase blood flow and resting energy expenditure without causing oxidative stress.
-
When can I not make use of MHBOT therapy? If you suffer from any of the following conditions you are not able to make use of MHBOT treatment. · If you are pregnant · Suffering from a cold, flu, fever, sinus or chest infection · Have had recent sinus surgery · Have had middle ear surgery or are suffering from an ear infection · Have a collapsed lung · Are battling stage 4 cancer · Have cystic fibrosis · Have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease · Have emphysema · Have hypoglycemia · Have thrombosis · Are claustrophobic

What is Normatec compression, and how does it work?Normatec is a recovery system that utilizes pulsed compression massage to reduce swelling, enhance lymphatic return, increase blood flow, and alleviate pain. It works by applying sequential pressure to different areas of the body.
-
How does Normatec reduce swelling and inflammation?Normatec compression helps reduce swelling and inflammation by promoting the movement of fluids in the body, which aids in the removal of metabolic waste and excess fluid from the tissues.
-
How does Normatec increase blood flow, and why is this beneficial?Normatec increases blood flow by applying compression in a pulsing manner, which enhances circulation. Improved blood flow can help deliver more oxygen and nutrients to muscles, promoting recovery.
-
Can Normatec be used to reduce pain, and how does it achieve this?Normatec may reduce pain by improving circulation and reducing muscle tension. The increased blood flow can help alleviate muscle soreness and discomfort.
